Hi ryo,
well u can find the config.opts file at /etc/pcmcia/config.opts in a fedora installation.
Hey, I suggest you go for a SUSE 10.1 or 10.2 installation everything is done automatically, no config required. Very user-friendly installation. Also, don't forget to select some options to enable the ip3945 config.

Hey, nice to see some participation. Actually was busy in some training and have started blogging in other tech stuffs... now since i see some activity here I shall club all the blogs here and may be from now on i will blog more on this shelf with more stuff.

hello all,
Sorry fr not replying for so long. Well if u all are only trying to give acpi=off option everytime it boots its a headache ... so please see the above article so that it can do it automatically. I know this has been a problem with HP duo laptops.

first boot with acpi=off option thn edit the specified config.opts file and reboot again .
it will do the job.

I am now planning to write more technical blogs soon if any other queries do post on.

thanx.

During boottime, select the fedora core line, press e. You will get to the kernel options press e again and add acpi=off. Go back and press b. You will be booting with the acpi turned off. Once inside linux you can edit the pcmcia configs, modify grub and reboot.
